1. Alice Christmas

This is, without a doubt, one of the most magical plans of the season. As night falls, the stunning La Concepción Botanical Garden is transformed into Wonderland. Alice Christmas is an immersive light show inspired by the work of Lewis Carroll that will leave you speechless.
Imagine strolling among centuries-old trees illuminated along a fantasy path that takes you straight back to childhood. It’s a sensory experience, perfect for disconnecting from the bustle of the city center and reconnecting with nature in a different way.
Dates: November 28 to January 6

2. Hielo Azul Christmas Park
If you’re looking for pure fun, head to the Cortijo de Torres Municipal Auditorium. This is where Hielo Azul is set up—the city’s largest winter park, featuring the biggest ice rink in all of Andalucía.
It’s the perfect place to release some adrenaline while ice skating, enjoy the attractions, or simply wander through the fairgrounds filled with Christmas spirit.

💡 Coeo Tip: From Coeo Hernán Ruiz, take bus 4 or 19 from Alameda Principal, or the metro from Guadalmedina. If you’re staying at Coeo Pod Hostel Beatas or in apartments in the historic center, we recommend walking toward the river to catch the metro.
3. Viveros Guzmán
This is an open secret among locals and a classic for Málaga families. Viveros Guzmán, located in Alhaurín de la Torre, turns into a spectacular Christmas passage with decorations that make you feel like you’re inside a movie.

4. El Corte Inglés Christmas Market
To enjoy the most traditional Christmas atmosphere, the El Corte Inglés Christmas Market on Avenida de Andalucía is a must-stop. You’ll find classic wooden stalls with handmade decorations and gifts, children’s attractions that add a nostalgic touch, and activities such as live music, magic shows, visits from Santa Claus, and much more.

5. International Nativity Scene Art Museum

Did you know that the most important nativity scene museum in Europe is located in Málaga? It’s in Mollina and houses more than 2,000 figures. It’s a unique excursion that surprises visitors with the artistic quality of its displays.
Opening hours: Every day until January 11, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm, except on Christmas holidays

💡 Coeo Tip: As with the nurseries, you’ll need a vehicle (45–50 minutes). Leaving the city is much faster from the Coeo Hernán Ruiz area thanks to direct access to the highway. If you’re staying at Coeo Fresca or Santa María (pedestrian area), we recommend renting a car at the train station.

1. Alameda Principal: Start by admiring the “forest of light” over the centuries-old ficus trees.
2. Calle San Juan: Famous for its unique golden “chandeliers.”
3. Calle Larios: The heart of the celebration. Don’t miss the famous light-and-music tunnel (shows at 6:30 pm, 8:00 pm, and 10:00 pm).
4. Cathedral & Plaza del Obispo: Enjoy the video mapping “The Fisherman of Dreams” on the Cathedral tower and the giant nativity scene in front of the main façade.
5. Paseo del Parque & Muelle Uno: Finish by strolling past the stalls along Paseo del Parque until you reach Muelle Uno, with its seaside Christmas market.
